Micah grew up in Ridgefield, Washington where he was mentored by local heroes on the Portland jazz scene such as Alan Jones, Mel Brown, Jay "Bird" Koder, and Renato Caranto. He holds a B.M. in Jazz Studies degree from the University of North Texas and has worked with/played for Ed Soph, Cuong Vu, Mark Lettieri, Ted Poor, Quincy Davis, Steve Rodby, Brad Leali, Tanya Darby, and Lynn Seaton among others.


Micah currently resides in Seattle, Washington, and is available for recording, live performance, and drum lessons.
